All of us at the club are very excited, and looking forward to the Sports Caerphilly Sports Award 2018 which takes place this evening (Friday 16th November) at Bryn Meadows Gold Hotel and Spa.
We are delighted to have had nominations for the club in a number of categories.
Our Ladies coach Ivor Jones has deservedly been nominated for the Lifetime to Sport in Caerphilly award – This recognition is for individuals who have demonstrated great enthusiasm, dedication and commitment in making a significant impact on the provision of sport within their community over a prolonged period of time.
Paula Bushen tireless support over many years has been recognised as she has been nominated in the Volunteer of the Year category. This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a volunteer getting more people starting, staying and/or succeeding in sport/physical activity through high quality delivery.
And joining the party, our Mini section mangers and coaches Gwyn Roberts and James Law received a joint nomination in the Inclusive Coach of the Year Award category – This award is for an individual who has shown a great level of commitment & passion whilst working with specific target groups such as (Women & Girls, BME, Disability and Deprivation).
It’s fantastic to see so many of our number nominated for all their hard work to the club over the years. Though I’m sure they will all admit that it’s a full team effort and their nominations are reflective of all the dedication from everyone within the club as a whole.
Good luck to everyone involved tonight.
For those unable to attend the event, you can watch all the action live via the Sports Caerphilly Facebook page here from 7pm.
