U9s and U11s make their debuts

After a long absence, it was great to see out Junior teams back on the map todays as both the U9s and U11s made the South Wales Women’s and Girls League debuts with matches down at the Gol Centre in Cardiff.

Both sets of players gave it their all, and although the results may not have ended up going the way we may have liked, it was great to see all the girls enjoying themselves, and keep going until the final whistle.

It’s fair to say there is a clear difference in the standard of some teams to others, and it was clear to see where the benefits of experience in playing in these settings come in – both for the coaches and players.

All the girls can and should be super proud of their efforts today though, and safe in the knowledge that with continual practice and hard work, we will be competing with the best in no time.
